Working as a Solopreneur & the Super Woman Syndrome

Definition: What is a Solopreneur?

A solopreneur is someone who runs their business alone and is ultimately responsible for its success or failure. …

What happens when you try to do it all by yourself? Or said differently, what happens when you don’t have a choice and have to do it all by yourself?

Because you believe in your dream and why not, let’s go for it!

So, honestly, what do you think happen?

Well, you have a choice. You either hit the proverbial wall AND you do that in all your glory…OR somehow, just somehow you make it to the top.

And that’s the point here.

You see, from the outside looking in, it all looks so easy. So promising. Piece of cake, nothing to it…Join this webinar, listen to that podcast, use this program…and on and on…

You know what I’m talking about …

Like me, you’ve seen the advertisements. The well-presented ‘pitches’ that litter the web. The stories of glory and fame, with the creation of an overnight website, a viral email, or a magical sales program…

And did you fall for it?

Did you really think that it would be that easy? Did you think that you’d have it made in a month or so? Did you think that…I don’t know…you could build a website in a weekend? That SEO was a word that only Geeks used for something…magical?
Did you think that social media …was for the socials, and it had nothing to do with you?

Did you think…just ‘Build it and they will come’…?

Do you understand what I’m saying? Do you see where you may have gone wrong?

Working as a Solopreneur is not a walk in the park. And to be honest, you have to be downright crazy if you think it is.

It’s that simple.

So, am I only here to bitch? Maybe in a way, I am. Who knows? That said, there’s also something called looking the truth in the eyes. And…understanding what it is you got yourself into.

Because yeah. That’s what it is – Nothing else. Why do you ask? Let me surprise you.
Revelation. Revelation.

Guess what?

There’s no magic formula.

There’s no divine intervention.

There’s nobody else to blame if you fail. Oh, you can try, but you’ll know deep down that well…you screwed up.

And if you win?

Well, hells bells! Claim your rightful throne and make sure to hold on tight.

See what I mean?

And you know what? It’s really not as bad as what I may be portraying. But then, it’s no joy ride either. So, the sooner you realize this, the better you will be.

And that’s going to take time. Cunning. Long hours. Pitfalls and gains. And most of all, a very strong belief in yourself and your products and services.

And you’ll make it.

You’ll make it because you’ve learned to move one careful step at a time.

You’ll make it because you’ve discovered that you were stronger than you thought.

You’ll make it because you believe in your dream. Your DREAM.

You’ll make it because come hell or high water, you are going to win.

You’ll make it because, after all, you are Super Woman.
